RECAP:
Centuries ago, David joyfully penned, “I was glad when they said to me, Let us go to the house of the LORD!” (Ps 122:1). As I got in my truck to head home yesterday afternoon, I had the same thought! What a joyful time it was in the house of the Lord!
Before leading us in praying for the people in the Ukraine, Pastor Mike reminded us that the Lord of hosts (Ps. 46:7)—the Lord of armies—is with His people. Pastor Maxim—one of the pastors with whom Pastor Micah will be working in Poland—is on the border of Poland and Ukraine helping the nearly 750,000 refugees who are fleeing. We will share with you all as we learn more how to help the needs there.
We continued our series on “Highlighting the Home” with a message on transforming love. Jesus didn’t wait for us to change before loving us—instead, He loved us to bring about the change. This same transforming love is how we are called to love others. The message can be found on our website, YouTube channel, Spotify podcast, or iTunes podcast.
An updated member covenant was handed out yesterday for review. The covenant can be viewed here. Any questions regarding the covenant can be shared this Sunday morning at the members’ meeting. The congregation will vote after the service on Sunday, March 27.
For all the latest information, opportunities, and announcements, yesterday’s bulletin can be found here.
